Vocal and Music Theory students will benefit from the expertise of Matt Lammin, who will travel from his England home to interact with students as part of a MCFEE Artist in Residence grant, submitted by Dr. Louise Anderson, MCHS Choral Director. His weeklong visit includes working with the Chansodié vocal group on performing a piece he wrote especially for them. His music classes in England have used Skype with Dr. Anderson’s Music Theory students throughout the semester for added interactions. The vocal group has also been to a recording studio to record the piece, as seen in the picture. It has already been a wonderful experience for the musicians, and the culminating event will be the spring concert, and you can be there.
Mr. Lammin will conduct his composition with Chansodié at the High School Spring Concert on Thursday, May 15 at 7:30 pm at the MCHS auditorium.
The public is encouraged to attend this concert in support of our music department and to see how MCFEE’s investment is making a difference in the Manheim Central School District.
